The Sunday Post Meme (193)

Hey everybody! I am participating in a book meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have  on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is coming up for your blog! Book hauls can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share these finds with other book bloggers!

Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I last did a Sunday Post!  There was so much going on with me in the last few weeks that I ended up being far behind in my posts!  The reason why I haven't been doing Sunday Posts for awhile was because I got sick in the last few weeks.  I was having trouble breathing properly as I constantly kept yawning and I was having constant short breaths.  So, I went to the doctor a few weeks ago and they told that I might have sleep apnea.  So, I'm just waiting for the doctor to call back so I could perform a sleep study to see what they could do about it.  Hopefully, I can get through this soon!  On a more positive note, I'm making a goal for my blog to reach over 500 followers!  You can follow me either through blogger or Bloglovin' and once I reach 500 followers, I will make a special shout out post to everyone who has followed my blog over the years!  So, be on the lookout for that special post when we reach 500 followers for this blog!

One Word: SICK.

(HBO MAX)

* So, Tom and Jerry has once again returned to the big screen (a bit in a different way) and I have to say that I actually liked this movie!  Sure, I can understand the hate towards this film and I will admit that this isn't the best movie from the Tom and Jerry franchise, but this film got a few chuckles out of me and I loved Tom and Jerry themselves in this film!

(TRAILER)

* Wow!  I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the newest Mortal Kombat trailer!  I rarely played any Mortal Kombat games growing up, so I didn't know much about this franchise.  But, this trailer has me excited and I can't wait to watch this movie soon!

(HBO MAX)

* While the performances from Denzel Washington, Jared Leto and Rami Malek were pretty good and the premise about a detective and a sheriff trying to find a serial killer was interesting; the film was really slow and I found myself being bored with this film for the most part.

(HBO MAX)

* It was great seeing another Studio Ghibli film being released after all of these years!  While I liked the fact that this movie was in CGI and the premise about a young girl meeting up with a witch was interesting, this movie lacked the backstories of each character and I actually didn't care much for the characters themselves.  Not one of Studio Ghibli's best films.

Do you often get sick?

*So, here are some good things that happened to me recently!

* Managed to binge watch on a lot of great movies!  It's nice to actually get to watch as many movies as you like, since I rarely have time to watch a lot of movies and I've managed to find a lot of interesting movies lately!

* Redoing my blog design!  I always have fun with redesigning my blog and I'm really loving the new style that I have for my blog!

* Slowly getting better through my sickness.  I was quite sick for the last few weeks, which was why I didn't blog often for the last few years.  But, I'm slowly starting to recover from my illness, so that's a plus for sure!

  1. Ahh darn sorry to hear you've not been feeling well! Hopefully you get into the sleep study soon and can figure out if that's what's wrong! I usually catch a cold every winter but this year I didn't! Lucky me... but it's probably because I haven't been out much lol!
I hope you have a great reading week!

  3. Oh no, sorry to hear you haven't been well! I hope you're feeling better. To answer your question , I used to get sick like clockwork in the spring and fall- weather changes- but not as much these days. I think the last time I was sick was when I had Covid in October!

Anyway- hope you are much better very soon! And good luck with the sleep apnea!

  11. I am sorry to hear about your health problems. Hopefully you can get answers and treatment. I think my husband may have sleep apnea but he refuses to go to the doctor. :-( Good luck with your follower goal! I follow your blog on Inoreader, but I don't think that's something you can track. I hope you have a great week and are feeling better.

  12. Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well and hope the sleep study can be set up soon. I don't get sick very often but I do tend to get worn down a pretty good bit where I just feel absolutely exhausted. Have a great week!
