* I've managed to read one book, which was Alice by Christina Henry and I really enjoyed it, despite the strong rape and violent scenes. I was going to read another book after Alice, but I wasn't able to, but the fact that I still completed one book during this readathon was still a huge accomplishment!
Congrats on finishing Alice! It sounds like it would be a bit of a tough read.
ReplyDeleteAh, I didn't realize that it was a retelling as well! Sounds like a dark one!
DeleteYay! Congrats in reading Alice! Too bad about the violent scenes you mentioned. I was curious about it because it was based on Alice in Wonderland, but you mentioning about the scenes makes me hesitant.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this book does have a lot of violent scenes that might not go over too well with many people.
