Bout of Books 30 Sign Up!

Man, it's been a long time since I last joined a Bout of Books challenge!  I actually miss doing this!  Anyway, it's time for another Bout of Books readathon, which will start on January 4th - January 10th! I haven't been reading much this time around because I was preparing for my cousin's baby shower that week and I didn't have time to read any books.  Luckily though, "Illuminae" is proving to be a quick read since I made it to 50 pages, which is awesome!

I noticed that I haven't been reading as much as I should have this time around (missed 3 days of reading) but, at least I was able to get in much further in this book and I can't wait to see what happens to Kate and August next!

Notes:  Yay! I've read more pages today than I did the other day! I'm really reading through this book! It's just so interesting in not only seeing the growing relationship between Miles and Alex, but also the mystery with Principal McCoy and Celia, the head cheerleader!

Overall, I haven't been able to get much reading done this week due to me attending a comic con convention this weekend.

Bout of Books (19) Wrap Up!




Hello everyone! Here's my wrap up post for the 19th annual Bout of Books Readathon!  Even though I didn't finish the book I was reading "Throne of Glass" by Sarah J. Maas, I still got a kick out of reading through this book that has been on my shelf for many years and I 'm still kicking myself for not reading this book sooner!  Let's hope I do better on the next Bout of Books readathon!

Notes:  I hadn't actually gotten a chance to read "Throne of Glass" for today, but I will tomorrow!

Pages Read:  12 pages (pages 36-48)

Total Pages Read: 12

Notes:  YAY! I finally dived back into "Throne of Glass!"  This is actually less pages than I thought I was going to read, but hopefully I'll catch up tomorrow!

Day 3 (Wednesday, May 10, 2017)

Notes:  Yay! I actually got much further today than yesterday, although I still wanted to read up to 100 pages a day, but this book is really getting good and I can't wait to see more adventures of Celeana!

Notes: YAY!!! This is like the highest number of pages I had read from this book and this book just continues to get even more interesting!

Notes:  I was finally able to read some more from "Alice" by Christina Henry and I'm really enjoying this book so far!  I'm hoping to finish this book during this challenge!

Notes: Wow!  This is probably the highest number of pages I've read for this book!  I think I might actually finish this book before the challenge ends, because it's just getting so good and I seriously can't put this book down!

Notes: Just finished this book and I LOVED IT!  I was quite surprised that I ended up liking this book despite the strong rape and violent themes, but it was told in a way that I sympathized with the characters' situation and I just loved the darker and edgier take on this story!

* I've managed to read one book, which was Alice by Christina Henry and I really enjoyed it, despite the strong rape and violent scenes.  I was going to read another book after Alice, but I wasn't able to, but the fact that I still completed one book during this readathon was still a huge accomplishment!
