The Sunday Post Meme (174)

Hey everybody! I am participating in a book meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have  on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is coming up for your blog! Book hauls can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share these finds with other book bloggers!

Hey everyone! I know that I haven't been posting any Sunday Posts for awhile now.  That was because I've been so busy these past few weeks, what with my Dad's birthday party and me going on a movie watching binge.  I've been watching lots of awesome movies these last few weeks which included "Aquaman," "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," "Colossal," "The Meg" and "Spider-Man: Far From Home." I've been enjoying all of these movies and I hope to watch more soon!  I also spent the fourth of July having a cookout and shooting fireworks, which I had a lot of fun!

One Word: RETURN!!!

(DVD)

* Wow! I was quite impressed with this movie! Jason Momoa was a pretty good Aquaman and the special effects in this movie were amazing!  My only gripe with this film is that the plot jumped all over the place a bit too quickly and there were times where I felt lost in the film's plot.

(DVD)

* This was another movie that we bought for my dad's birthday and even though I enjoyed Dwayne Johnson's comedic performance in this movie, I still prefer the original movie with Robin Williams more.

(DVD)

* This was one of the movies that we had bought for my dad's birthday and I thought this was an okay thriller film that's about a gigantic shark.  But, I don't know, I was more entertained by the "Sharknado" series, despite how bad those movies are!

(HULU)

* It's been awhile since I last saw Anne Hathaway in anything and I was quite surprised that she was starring in this movie.  I actually went into this movie expecting it to be fully a comedy, but then the film went into a totally different direction in the second half and I was totally blown away by that!  This was quite an interesting movie to watch!

(IN THEATERS)

* Oh my god!!! I just completely loved this movie! I actually think that this was better than "Spider-Man: Homecoming" since this movie was more action packed and hilarious and Tom Holland just makes an adorable Spider-Man!

  1. Movie watching binges and Summer go hand in hand! The Meg was fun, and so was Jumanji. I think they're making another one. I want to watch Spider Man. Enjoy your movies, Ronyell! :)

  5. I’m really looking forward to seeing the new Spider-Man movie. I did enjoy Aquaman , and I agree the original Jumanji was better, there’s no one quite like Robin Williams.

    Have a great reading week

  6. I saw Toy Story 4 and I enjoyed it, but didn't love it like I did TS 1. I wonder if I have read the Caldecott books. I need to take a look and see. Have a great week!

I've only seen The Meg of the ones you've mentioned, but it was fun! Although it could have been better, I agreed!

  9. I have not seen any of the movies you are writing about. Maybe I should change that *smile* Aquaman would be my choice or Black Panther.
