August Monthly Wrap Up (2018)

Off the Blog:

Hey everyone! Whew! August was a pretty busy month for me!  First off, we finally celebrated my mom's birthday after she had some work done to her teeth.  So, she wasn't able to eat many things. But, we finally got the chance to celebrate her birthday and had some delicious cake to go with everything!  Finally, me and my sister went to Soda City Comic Con in South Carolina for the second year in the row and it was EVEN BETTER than last year's comic con!  We got the chance to meet Billy West, the voice of Fry from "Futurama" and Ren and Stimpy, Vic Mignogna, the voice of popular anime characters like Ed from "Fullmetal Alchemist" and Tamaki from "Ouran High School Host Club" and Mike Coulter, who plays Luke Cage!  It was such a wonderful experience meeting these actors, since I barely get the chance to meet celebrities on a day to day basis and they were all so friendly and fun to be with!  If you want to see some of my photos from the event, check them out HERE!

On the Blog:

YAAAYYY!!! My reading month was so much better this month than last month as I read over 5 books for the month!  Most of the books I've read were ARCs though, but I'm so happy to be able to read up to 5 books this month!  Also, I noticed that I posted this monthly wrap up post very late, but that's because August was such a busy month, that I didn't have much time to post up my reviews.

Books Read this Month:

5.  Bear Child by Geoff Mead  (EDELWEISS)

  1. Thanks for giving my post a shout-out! I’m glad you had a good reading month and got to celebrate with your mom. I hope you’re having a great September!

  2. I hope you enjoy Illuminae--it took me a bit to get used to the formatting, but it became one of my favorites and got me back into science fiction. My daughter loves Futurama so meeting the voice actor sounds amazing and fun.
