Cover Spotlight #22: August 19th, 2018 - August 26th, 2018

Hey everyone!  I just created a new book meme called "Cover Spotlight" where you get to showcase your favorite book covers!  It can be a book cover from a book you've read years ago, a book cover from a book you just recently read or a book cover from a book that you've never read before, but you still love the cover!  You can also feature multiple book covers instead of one for this meme! This is a weekly meme, which means that the meme starts every Sunday, but you have until the Sunday after that week to post your favorite covers!

To tweet your posts, use this hashtag here:

Love this awesome cover of Wonder Woman standing in front of her homeland!  Such a gorgeous cover!

Book Photo Sundays #89: August 19, 2018

Hello everyone! Welcome to "Book Photo Sundays" where you get the chance to showcase photos of your books, bookshelves and book conventions you have gone to!  The goal of this book meme is to basically just post up a photo of the various books you have read or your book hauls on your blog and link back here so that way everyone can check out your wonderful book photos!  You can get your book photos through your Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, Iphone or any other account where you can get your photos!

#bookphotosundays

So let's get started!

Also, this will be tied into the August Book Photo Sundays Bookstagram Challenge over at Instagram, so please feel free to check it out!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to another Book Photo Sundays! For the first photo, I have done yet another rainbow book pile and also showing off some of my funko pops!  In the second photo, I'm showcasing my copy of the second book in the Illuminae series, Gemina!

Stacking the Shelves #59: August 18, 2018

Stacking The Shelves is a book meme created by Tynga's Reviews and Reading Reality and it is about sharing books that you are adding to your shelves, whether it's physical or virtual.  This means including books that you bought from the store or online, books you borrowed from friends or from the library, books you've reviewed, gifts and ebooks!

Hey everyone! I noticed that I haven't been on the blog for awhile now.  Life has gotten in the way and I'm pretty behind on all my blog posts.  Hopefully, this week will change all that!  Meanwhile, my mom's birthday was last week, but because she just had some work done on her teeth, she couldn't eat anything, so we have to wait another week until we can celebrate her birthday. I hope my mom's teeth will feel better soon!

Waiting on Wednesday #102: City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab

Hello everyone! "Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, that is hosted by Breaking the Spine and the purpose of this event is that we spotlight upcoming releases of books that we are excited for!  This will also tie into Wishful Ending's Can't Wait Wednesday post!

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

Title:  City of Ghosts
Author:  Victoria Schwab
Expected Publication Date:  August 28th, 2018

Cassidy Blake's parents are The Inspectres, a (somewhat inept) ghost-hunting team. But Cass herself can REALLY see ghosts. In fact, her best friend, Jacob, just happens to be one.

When The Inspectres head to ultra-haunted Edinburgh, Scotland, for their new TV show, Cass—and Jacob—come along. In Scotland, Cass is surrounded by ghosts, not all of them friendly. Then she meets Lara, a girl who can also see the dead. But Lara tells Cassidy that as an In-betweener, their job is to send ghosts permanently beyond the Veil. Cass isn't sure about her new mission, but she does know the sinister Red Raven haunting the city doesn't belong in her world. Cassidy's powers will draw her into an epic fight that stretches through the worlds of the living and the dead, in order to save herself.

I've read "This Savage Song" by Victoria Schwab and I LOVED IT!  I'm also interested in the fact that Victoria Schwab is writing a middle grade book, so I'm interested in seeing how this book plays out!

So, what upcoming books are you looking forward to?  Please respond below!

The Sunday Post Meme (146)

Hey everybody! I am participating in a book meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have  on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is coming up for your blog! Book hauls can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share these finds with other book bloggers!

Hey everyone! Happy August everyone!  I can't believe that August is already here!  It just seemed like yesterday that it was July and we are already nearing the end of this year!  I had a pretty bad reading month in July because I was going through a reading slump and I only managed to read 2 books for the month.  Hopefully, I can break out of this slump soon and read some more books!  Not much really happened this week except that I went shopping with my sisters and my dad and I've managed to buy some great books!

One Word: EXCITED!!!

(NETFLIX)

* I was very curious about this anime series and I ended up really ENJOYING it!  It was so hilarious and I just loved the premise of the series (a devil working at a part time job to earn some money to get back home...HILARIOUS)!!!

(FREE MOVIES)

* I was DYING to see this miniseries since I love retellings of the Wizard of Oz and this one is easily one of the most interesting and darkest retellings of the Wizard of Oz I have ever seen!  I'm still on part 2, so I'm hoping to wrap this series up this week!

(NETFLIX)

* I have been watching this show for awhile now and I'm still LOVING it!  I honestly have never seen the original series of "The Worst Witch," but I'm really enjoying the reboot of this series and I can't wait to see Season 3 soon!
