July Monthly Wrap Up (2018)

Off the Blog:

Hey everyone! July came and gone by and we had a nice little cookout on July 4th to celebrate the special occasion!  We had hot dogs, potato salad and ribs and they were all DELICIOUS!  Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to shoot any firecrackers to celebrate the occasion, but hopefully when the New Years come by, we will be shooting firecrackers!  Other than that, not much has really happened in July, except me and my family are still watching Netflix and Hulu and checking out a lot of new and great shows like "The Babysitter" and "The Worst Witch!"

On the Blog:

It seems like July was a slow month for me in terms of reading since I've only read 2 books for the month and one of the books was a reread.  *Sigh*  It seems like my reading is getting lower each month this year.  I would say that I hope that I read more in August, but I'll just wait and see if that can be a reality next month.  However, this was an AWESOME month for me in terms of book buying! I've managed to buy so many good books this month such as "Made You Up" and "Eliza and her Monsters" by Francesca Zappia, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll, "Heir of Fire" and "Queen of Shadows" by Sarah J. Maas and "Forest of a Thousand Lanterns" by Julie C. Dao!"  I can't wait to dive into these books soon!

POST SPOTLIGHT:

BEST OF THE MONTH: I Hate Fairyland Volume 3: Good Girl by Skottie Young

August TBR:

* I'm still reading "Our Dark Duet" by Victoria Schwab and it's pretty good so far. Since I haven't really read any books for July from this list, I'll keep this TBR for August.

  5. Your 4th of July sounded fun. I hope you love Warcross. I'm hyped for the sequel due out 9/18/18. Children of Blood and Bone is on my wish list and I'm hoping it will be a birthday gift this year (my list is all books, coffee, tea, and chocolate--the essentials for happiness).
