Off the Blog:
Hey everyone! This month started off pretty well, with me and my family going to my cousin's wedding in Mount Pleasant! I had a fun time at the wedding and the place where my cousin rented the wedding was so nice and lovely! If any one of my other cousins get married, expect me to be there! Meanwhile, we didn't really do anything for Halloween, except eat candy all day (I had some snickers and candy corn) and watch Halloween movies (I really enjoyed watching Halloweentown, Corpse Bride, Scooby Doo on Zombie Island and especially Hocus Pocus)!
On the Blog:
I actually managed to read more books this month than in September (although it's only by one book). I've read a ton of ARCs for this month and I finally got the chance to read Caraval by Stephanie Garber! It was such an amazing book and one of the first books that was published this year that I've read! I've also read one Halloween themed book called Afterlife with Archie, which I really enjoyed so far and I can't wait to check out the second volume which is supposed to come out this year! Also, for anyone who wants to participate in memes that deal with posting photos of your books and recommending titles with other bloggers, then please feel free to join in both Book Photo Sundays and Recommend Me This! Saturdays!

POST SPOTLIGHT:
BEST OF THE MONTH: (TIE BETWEEN) Caraval by Stephanie Garber and Afterlife with Archie: Escape from Riverdale Volume 1 by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
November TBR:
* Yay! I've actually finished one of the books from the pile, which is Caraval and I've really enjoyed it! I hope I can get to the other books soon!
This will be linked to The Book Date's Month in Review and A Cocoon of Books Best of the Bunch!
I also ate way too much candy on Halloween. I hope you have a great November and get lots of reading done!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks! You too!
Deletei really do need to get round to The Martian at some point. I might try and fit that in before the end of the year. Congrats on your reading for October!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI didn't have any Halloween candy and no candy corn. I think this is the first year I never bought any and I'm not sure why. It looks like you had a great October, I hope you have a wonderful November too!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYeay, someone else who watched Scooby on Halloween! I still have to read The Last Magician too. I actually started it in September but it was a bit of a dense read and put it down after 30 pages or so. I guess I wasn't in the right mood for it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the Last Magician yet, but I'm hoping to get around to it soon!
DeleteCongrats on reading more books this month :) I also read more! Maybe I'll still make that Goodreads challenge this year :)
ReplyDeleteI hope we both do! :D
DeleteI am glad you were able to read more books in October. I so want to read Caraval.
ReplyDeleteCaraval is such an amazing read! I hope you enjoy it once you read it!
DeleteI loved Caraval too. Glad you had a wonderful time at the wedding!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Thanks!
DeleteI love that subtitle about Very Serious Haiku and Very Serious Dog. So cute! I still haven't read Caravel, but I hope to...eventually!
ReplyDeleteIt's a really good book!
DeleteCaraval was one of the first books I read for my debut author challenge and I loved it! Now book 2 can't get here soon enough. I also enjoyed When Dimple Met Rishi as part of this challenge.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
