Hello everyone! I'm participating in another book meme called the Book Blogger Hop which is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer! Basically, you just answer weekly questions and then post up your link on the question's page.
This week's question is :
This week's question is submitted by Maria @ A Night's Dream of Books!
When reading a book, do you use a bookmark to mark your place in the book, or do you just fold over the top corner of the page?
When reading a book, do you use a bookmark to mark your place in the book, or do you just fold over the top corner of the page?
I tend to use a bookmark whenever I'm reading a book because I don't like to bend the pages in my books (especially if it's a new book I just recently bought or if it's a book from the library). Also, if I happened to buy a bookmark that looks gorgeous, I would show it off to other people whenever I'm reading a book!
I never bend pages either.
ReplyDeleteI use whatever is handy - an envelope, post card, recipe card, etc.
I do have a ton of bookmarks, but for some reason don't use them.
Thanks for coming by blog.
Happy Hopping!!

You're welcome!
DeleteI agree, I never bend the pages. If I can't find a bookmark I'll use a piece of paper until I locate a bookmark. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
DeleteI love showing off a new bookmark! I think one thing I love the most about bookmarks is that it’s like carrying around little pieces of art! :)
ReplyDeleteSo agree!
DeleteBookmarks are definitely a must when reading. It seems that most big readers feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. - Katie
Thanks! You too!
DeleteHmmm, there's a lot of bookmark love in the world... They are pretty but they're just never around when you need them! lol
ReplyDeleteYeah, they do tend to fall out if you are not careful!
DeleteI usually use a bookmark, but I don't have a problem with folding the corners of your own book.
ReplyDeleteI used to fold the corners of my pages, but it made it harder for me to find the pages since all the pages looked the same after awhile.
DeleteI LOVE bookmarks!! And I have a very nice collection, too! Some of them are store-bought, while others are freebies from my local library, or from "Books and Books", a local Indie bookstore (although they now have branches in other cities, including the Caribbean).
ReplyDeleteIn a pinch, I will grab whatever piece of paper I have handy, but folding down corners? NEVER. To me, this is a bookish "sin". Lol.
Thanks for sharing! Thanks as well for commenting on my own BBH post! Sorry for the late comment back... :(
Happy Sunday!! <3 <3 :) :)
You're welcome and that's alright!
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog hop and for your total understanding about my predicament of bookmarks.
