Hello everyone! "Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, that is hosted by Breaking the Spine and the purpose of this event is that we spotlight upcoming releases of books that we are excited for! This will also tie into Wishful Ending's Can't Wait Wednesday post!
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selections are:
Broken Souls
By: Toni Miranda Jones
Expected Publication Date: October 5th, 2020
Would you disrupt the balance of the universe to avenge your family?
Colette doesn’t have time for high school games. She doesn’t have time for her best friend’s schoolyard crush on her. She doesn’t have time for her brother’s overprotective behavior. And she certainly doesn’t have time for the new guy in her class, no matter how hypnotizing his eyes might be.
Three months ago, Colette Belrose was murdered.
Colette relives the fire every day. She can still feel the ropes that tore into her wrists as she fought to get free. She can still taste the smoke that infected her lungs and choked her. She can still smell her flesh burning as the flames consumed her. Worst of all, she can still hear the sound of her parents screams as they burned alive beside her.
Three months ago, Colette Belrose was brought back to life.
Thought only to be a myth, furies are reborn to protect the innocent from the same fate that they once suffered. They only have one rule: they must not hunt the ones who killed them no matter the circumstance.
Cursed with an insatiable thirst for vengeance and a blinding disregard for rules, Colette will find the man who killed her parents even if it kills her. Again.

Hanau, Germany
Sixteen-year-old Elva has a secret. She has visions and strange powers that she will do anything to hide. She knows the warnings about what happens to witches in their small village of Hanau. She’s heard the terrible things people say about the Witch of the North Woods, and the malicious hunts that follow. But when Elva accidentally witnesses a devastating vision of the future, she decides she has to do everything she can to prevent it. Tapping into her powers for the first time, Elva discovers a magical mirror and its owner—none other than the Witch of the North Woods herself. As Elva learns more about her burgeoning magic, and the lines between hero and villain start to blur, she must find a way to right past wrongs before it’s too late.
