Hey everybody! I am participating in a book meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is coming up for your blog! Book hauls can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share these finds with other book bloggers!
Hey everyone! I know it's been awhile since I last did a Sunday Post (like I think the last one was way back in January) and I know that I've been saying for awhile that I will try to get back on track with the Sunday Posts, but at this point, I can't really say how often I will be doing Sunday Posts. Now, don't get me wrong! I'm not saying that I'm giving up on Sunday Posts (which hopefully I never will), but I probably won't be doing one every week like I wanted to. But, I'll try to do my best with posting the Sunday Posts as much as I can. Anyway, a lot has happened since January. First off, I managed to watch "Sonic the Hedgehog" in theaters and I LOVED IT! It was such a cute and fun little movie and I can't wait to grab it on DVD and BluRay! But on the negative side, the coronavirus had started in February and it had taken so many lives. I'm just praying that everyone will stay safe during this pandemic.

* I actually watched this movie way back in February when it was released in theaters, but I just wanted to talk about it some more! As a huge "Sonic the Hedgehog" fan, I was pleasantly surprised with this movie and how it added more to the mythos of the games, while giving us some genuinely heartwarming moments between Sonic and Tom. I'm hoping that a sequel gets greenlit soon since I want to see more from these characters!

* This was another short movie that I watched way back in February, but I wanted to bring this one up since I enjoyed so much! I loved the animation in this short and I thought that the story being told here was both sad yet heartwarming at the same time!

* FINALLY! I finally got the chance to watch this movie and I actually ENJOYED IT! It was such a cute and funny little film about the importance of having a true family and I would like to watch this film again whenever I get the chance to!

* I've been hearing a lot of things about this new anime series and I just had to check it out for myself and I must say that this show is pretty interesting so far! I loved the way that they tackled the issues between carnivores and herbivores in this universe by portraying it in a fairly realistic way. It actually seems like the adult version of "Zootopia," now that I think about it.

I think you can have a pass for not posting these as often as you'd like. There's a lot going on in the world right now. You are so lucky you got to see Sonic in theaters. There are several movies I was really looking forward to watching on the big screen, but that will have to wait.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's a shame that most of the movie theaters have closed down due to the virus. I just hope things get better from this point forward.
DeleteOkay, tell me. How did they give a hedgehog whose life consisted of running around and collecting rings a full-length movie? I can't fathom it, but then again, it was done. Have a great week!

I tend to ask the same question about how they were able to make a movie about a talking racooon and a talking tree. But, it worked!
DeleteNobody says that you have to post every week a Sunday Post or any other post. Do it on your own terms and time. We are here, no matter what *smile* Stay safe and well!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I really needed that!
DeleteWho can keep up with it all these days? I'm trying to keep up but am sacrificing time for other things for it most weeks! It's nice to keep up but it definitely can be a chore! I hope you're well! We're staying safe at home. Have a great week!
