Cover Characteristic #1: Feathers

Hey everyone! This is a meme that was created by the folks over at Sugar and Snark called "Cover Characteristic" and here are the rules for this meme:

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

This week's theme is: FEATHERS!

1.  The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Lesyle Walton: This is easily my most favorite book cover of the bunch!  Just the intricate way the feather is shown just makes me want to look at this cover forever!  It also looks like a pretty interesting book to read!

2. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling: I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I've been looking forward to this book for ages!  I also love how creepy and gorgeous the cover looks!

3. Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley: I've heard a lot of good things about this book and I can't wait to try it out!  As for the cover, I just loved the way that the feather broke into small little birds!

4. Blood and Feathers by Lou Morgan: The cover just looks so awesome and I just loved the way the blood just mixes in with the feathers in the background!  This sounds like another book to check out!

5. Phoenix by Elizabeth Richards: I just love this cover!  The phoenix feather looks fantastic, especially when it is on fire and I definitely would love to pick up this book up, as soon as I read the first book!

Next Week's Theme:

  1. My favorite covers are The Strange and and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender and Magonia! I didn't realize that there were so many YA covers with feathers until I saw the cover characteristics posts!

    1. Yeah! I just stumbled upon this meme and it's great so far!

  2. I like The strange and Beautiful Sorrows a lot, and Magonia as well. Those two are probably my favorites...

  3. Phoenix is definitely my favourite. Nice picks! Here's my Cover Characteristics:

    1. Yeah, it really is! Just stopped by your blog and those covers look great!

  4. Magonia was one I thought of right away, but since I hadn't read it yet, I didn't include it. Great picks! Thanks for stopping by my post earlier!

  5. I think Phoenix is my fav of the lot!

Sorry that this week's post was a little late!
Thanks for joining in last week :)
