Top Ten Tuesday #30: Top 10 Books That Have Under 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

So today's Top Ten Tuesday theme is "Top 10 Books That Have Under 2,000 Ratings on Goodreads!"

Most of the books on this list are graphic novels and children's books since most of the adult and young adult books I've read were fairly popular and I probably only have one adult book on this list because of that.  So, here's my top 10 books that have under 2,000 ratings on Goodreads (in no particular order).

1. The Fool and the Flying Ship by Eric Metaxas

I am probably going to forever recommend this book to everyone, because I love it so much, but there's not a lot of ratings for this book, despite the creativity that Robin Williams' narration and Henrik Drescher's artwork put in this story.

 2. Pecos Bill by Brian Gleeson

Another book from the Rabbit Ears series that has low ratings, but once again, Robin Williams' narration of this classic western tall tale might be able to gain some more readers!

3. Nobody's Darling by Teresa Medeiros

This was the first romance novel I had ever read and it's surprising to me that the rating is below 2,000, although this is probably not as mainstream as most of Lisa Kleypas' romance novels.

4. Archie: The New Riverdale Volume 1 by Mark Waid

This comic is pretty much new, so being below 2,000 ratings is reasonable, but this is an awesome remake of the popular Archie Comics and I'm sure that Archie fans will enjoy this graphic novel!

5. The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe

Everyone knows the story of the Raven, but has anyone read the illustrated version of this tale?  This is a truly amazing book for anyone who wants to see the Raven in illustrated format!

6. I Hate Fairyland: Madly Ever After Volume 1 by Skottie Young

Another graphic novel on this list that is still recently new, but is sure a lot of fun with lots of bloody gore and violence to pass around!

7. East of the Sun West of the Moon by D.J. MacHale

Yet another Rabbit Ears classic that is lost in the main audience, but is one that is definitely worth checking out, especially if you love Norwegian folk tales!

8. Klutz by Henrik Drescher

This is a really underrated book that is full of fun and laughter and anyone who loves reading about unconventional families or love reading the circus will get a kick out of this book!

9. The Gruesome Guide to World Monsters by Judy Sierra

If you love reading about monsters, then this book is definitely worth checking out!

10. Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer and the Great Puppet Theater by Van Jensen

Who would have thought that there would be a comic book where Pinocchio is a vampire slayer?  Well, the second volume of this series definitely made it worth my while!

  1. I definitely want to check out the illustrated Edgar Allan Poe--he's one of my all-time favorites! And the Gruesome Guide to World Monsters as well...I have several books of mythology and monsters on my shelves, which have earned me weird looks from visitors but otherwise lots of enjoyment. Great list!
