Hey everybody! I am
participating
in a book
meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted
by Kimba the
Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have
on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is
coming up for your
blog! Book
hauls can include library books
, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share
these finds with other book
bloggers!
Hello everyone! Halloween is just around the corner, but unfortunately, I have to work on Halloween. But on the other hand, that just gives me a chance to watch my favorite Halloween movies like "Hocus Pocus," "Scooby Doo on Zombie Island" and the "Nightmare Before Christmas" for most of that day, so it's not a total loss for me! Also, this month's been going very well for me in terms of reading since I was able to get in a few good books for October, so I'm really excited to see how many books I can read in November!

Thanks!
DeleteSounds like a fun way to spend Halloween. I have to work, then I'm hibernating for the rest of the day and watching movies:) Those are some fun titles and covers for. Happy Halloween:)

Oh you have to work on Halloween too? Well, at least you are getting some rest on Halloween! I might do that myself after I come home from work!
DeleteOw I loooooove Hocus Pocus. Too bad you have to work though! I have to work to, but that’s normal because Halloween isn’t so big here! I hope you still have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
Thanks! Hocus Pocus is probably my all time favorite Halloween movie!
DeleteWith Halloween on a Monday this year, I guess a lot of us will be working, but it's awesome that you can watch Halloween movies at work! I'll be working in the morning (I'm self-employed), then getting ready for trick-or-treaters. I'm going to watch Poirot solve a mystery in "Hallowe'en Party."
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Halloween!
Ooh! Poirot! It's great that you are self employed! What do you do for your job?
DeleteI create indexes for (nonfiction) books. It's usually interesting, often intellectually challenging, and on very rare occasions, deadly boring. I mostly work on scholarly books -- a lot of history, sociology, political science, biography, and the like. It's one of the reasons my leisure-reading choices are often pretty light: I need a break from all the close analysis of challenging texts.
DeleteOooh...that sounds pretty tough!
DeleteAll excellent Halloween movies, so a thon before work isn't a bad thing. Glad you are getting lots of reading in! Have a wonderful week :)
ReplyDeleteHalloween isn't a big deal here (New Zealand) no matter what the retailers tell us, but I'm hoping to persuade spawn to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas with me today - lol. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just love watching the Nightmare Before Christmas during Halloween time!
DeleteOoh scooby Doo sounds like fun. :) I love Halloween time and all the movies. Have fun and enjoy. I need to get my hoHoHo readathon reads lined up...
ReplyDeleteThanks! Good luck on your readathon!
DeleteYou have a lot of great events coming up soon! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI have to work as well, but at least we get to look forward to fun Halloween activities! Have a fabulous week! :)
ReplyDeleteYep!
DeleteI have some Christmassy books on their way to me. I might have to sign up for the Ho-ho-ho Readathon! Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry to hear you have to work on Halloween. Hope the movies helped. :) I've heard great things about Nimona!
ReplyDeleteTanya @ GIRL PLUS BOOKS
The movies really did help me celebrate Halloween! Nimona is really good!
DeleteWe just got Naked Mole Gets Dressed from the library - such a fun book! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad about having to work on Halloween! We are having to do some juggling to make it work too. I was just thinking the other day that it's been ages since I've watched any good Halloween movies! Mo Willems is a favorite around here and that one looks so fun! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've watched a lot of good Halloween movies to make up for it!
DeleteI have to work too. Fortunately my kids no longer trick or treat so I may con my husband into giving out the candy so I can veg in front of a scary movie :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! I would love to do that too!
DeleteI work Tues-Sat, so this is the first Halloween I don't have to work in awhile. But I don't really celebrate.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I just watch movies on Halloween these days.
DeleteLove Nimona and everything Mo Willems has ever done. I teach, so Halloween on a Monday is pretty much my worst nightmare.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Are the kids well behaved on Halloween?
DeleteI hope that you had a good movie night last night. We had a good night of family and trick or treating with my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteIsn't is wonderful to finish a month with the feeling that you had a good reading month. I, on the other hand, am struggling to get the time with my reading that I would like. I am believing for November.
I hope you do well in November!
Deletehappy sunday
ReplyDeleteThanks!
