Top Ten Tuesday #8: Top 10 Books I Read in 2014.

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

So today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is my top 10 books that I had read in 2014 (although I still got a long way to go)!

So, here's my top 10 Books I've read in 2014 (in no particular order)!

1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

The first book in Laini Taylor's highly acclaimed "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" series has certainly lived up to its name as one of the best paranormal novels ever created and this book has definitely gotten me geared up for the second book in the series!

2. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

The sequel to the "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" series is even better than the first book as we get a really good glimpse at how bad war can be and where things are going for both Karou and Akiva!

3. Cinder by Marissa Meyer

This book was a brilliant twist to the classic "Cinderella" story with an even stronger female protagonist and I was so immersed by the steampunk world that the characters inhabit!  I can't wait to check out the second book of this series "Scarlet!"

4. Saga Volume 3 by Brian K. Vaughan

"Saga" just continues to get better and better with each volume I've read and I'm really enjoying the intense and heartwarming adventures between Alana and Marko!

5. Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh

Wow! I never would have thought that I would be interested in a book where the drawings looked like a child drew them, but Allie Brosh has blown me away with this very witty and touching book about the ups and downs in her own life!

6. The Pigeon Needs a Bath! by Mo Willems

I just love Mo Willems' famous "Pigeon" series, so this latest installment in the "Pigeon" series was just as hilarious and witty as the previous "Pigeon" books and I'm sure that you will enjoy this hilarious take on what it means to take a bath!

7. Locke and Key: Alpha and Omega Volume 6 by Joe Hill

FINALLY! The final book in Joe Hill's famous "Locke and Key" series and man was it one doozy of a finale!  Definitely worth waiting for all this time!

8. Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning

I finally got around to reading the second book in Karen Marie Moning's "Fever" series and I must say that it was even better than the first book, with things heating up between MacKayla and Jericho!

9.  Faefever by Karen Marie Moning

"Faefever" was just as good as the first two books in Karen Marie Moning's "Fever" series and its explosive ending had me yearning for more in this series!

10. Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning

Whoa! The fourth book in the "Fever" series was just as explosive as the previous three and to see MacKayla actually take action in this novel was definitely worth seeing!

So, what are your top 10 books read in 2014? Please feel free to answer in the comments below!
