So, now that we are introduced to Sonic's friends in the previous issues, we are now getting into the true mystery of the series so far: who is handling all of Dr. Eggman's robots when the doctor himself had just undergone amnesia? Well, let's find out in this issue!
The issue starts off with Sonic and Tails coming across an Eggman Empire airship and they go inside the ship to stop Dr. Eggman. But, Sonic quickly notices that it's not the real Dr. Eggman inside the ship since in the last two issues, Dr. Eggman had amnesia and went by the persona of Mr. Tinker. It turns out that the true culprit is none other than Metal Sonic himself and Metal Sonic is out to carry out his master, Dr. Eggman's plans, with or without the doctor.
WOW! So, Metal Sonic gets introduced in this issue and we actually get to see him go toe to toe with Sonic himself! I loved the fact that we finally see Metal Sonic again after all of these years. I like the way that Ian Flynn wrote Metal Sonic as being a dangerous threat to Sonic and his friends and I like the mystery of this issue as we finally find out who has been taking over Dr. Eggman's robots after the doctor himself went missing after the events of "Sonic Forces." I also loved the interactions between Sonic and his Friends as they are truly close to each other and have each other's backs when the going gets rough.
But, probably my favorite part of this issue were the fight sequences between Sonic and Metal Sonic. As always, Adam Bryce Thomas does such a fantastic job with the artwork of this issue as the fight sequences are so well detailed and it was such a pleasure seeing Metal Sonic and Sonic fight each other again!
I guess the only "slight" problem I have with this issue is that it wasn't long enough. I would have liked to see more fight scenes with Metal Sonic and Sonic in this issue.

While I wished that there was a bit more to this issue, I really enjoyed the action sequences and Sonic's relationship with his friends. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of Metal Sonic in later issues!
