The Sunday Post Meme (113)

Hey everybody! I am participating in a book meme called the Sunday Post which is being hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer! The goal of this meme is to share news you have  on various books and things you’ve read or received and also talk about what is coming up for your blog! Book hauls can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books and you can share these finds with other book bloggers!

Hey everyone! I can't believe we're into our second week of December!  I'm planning on watching some Christmas specials on my old VHS tapes since I've only watched the main ones (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas) way back in November.  Also, I've been doing some Christmas shopping for my family, although I'm not quite finished yet and I'm planning on going back out to buy more gifts so I will be ready for Christmas when it comes!  I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

  1. VHS Christmas movies... now you made me all nostalgic, and I want to go up to the attic and get some of mine :)
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  2. Bill Peet was everywhere back in the 80’s. I need to reread one of his books again.

    Enjoy your Christmas preparations!

  3. Whoa! I can't believe you still have a VCR. My daughter was mad when I got rid of ours, because she has all her Cardcaptors videos, but I told her to have them converted to digital.

  6. I'm watching some VHS movies too. When I realized they were on the way out I bought a few VHS players so I would have something to watch them on. Try finding one now. Slowly replacing the ones I can to DVD, but then, what happens when they're dinosaurs too. LOL

    1. Yeah, that's what I'm doing with most of my tapes. I'm trying to convert them to DVD since it's getting harder to find tape players that play VHS.

  7. I am in awe that you have a working VCR! Thats crazy awesome! My students had never seen one until a teacher brought one in to show a video. They were totally flipped out (they were all born after the turn of the century!)

  10. I'm not done with my Christmas shopping either. I try to do most of it online but some things just take a trip to the store.

  12. Gosh, it's been so long since I've watched a movie on VHS. I don't think my family even owns a VHS player anymore. Hope your week/Christmas shopping goes well! :)
