Feature and Follow Friday #6: April Passing By

The Feature and Follow Friday Meme is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read and basically what this meme is all about is that you get to gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogging Community by following each blogger!  All you have to do is leave your name and your blog name on the post on the main Feature and Follow Friday Meme page and then create your own post on Feature and Follow Friday and link back to the main page and then you visit as many blogs as you want and you tell the other bloggers "hi!" in their comments (on the post that has the Feature and Follow Friday Image). You follow that blogger and they follow you back!  Just make sure to follow back if that blogger follows you back!

Well, it's my third week on my new job at Dollar General and I'm still trying to get the hang of this job, even though I'm doing much better now than I did the first two weeks.  I just hope that everything goes all right for me at this job since I need this job to pay the bills (and to get some more new books)!  I'm now further along in "The Assassin's Blade" (I know, I can't believe I'm still reading this book) and I'm loving every page of this book and hopefully, I will be fully caught up with my reading once I get things settled at my new job.

Question of the Week: Have you ever read a book you thought you'd hate but loved? Or vice versa? - Suggested by A Great Read

There were two books that I thought I was going to hate, but I ended up loving those books and they were "Nobody's Darling" by Teresa Medeiros and "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green.  When I first started reading "Nobody's Darling," I will admit that I wasn't interested in that book at first because it was a romance novel and at the time, I didn't care much for romance novels.  But, after I read that book, I started loving that book and romance novels in general!  So, if there is a certain book that you would like to thank for introducing me to the wonderful world of romance, than "Nobody's Darling" is that book!  With "The Fault in Our Stars," even though I've heard so many great things about that book, I was a bit skeptical at seeing whether I would enjoy that book or not, but after I read it, it has seriously become one of my all-time favorite young adult books ever written!

How about you? Have you ever read a book that you thought you were going to hate, but ended up loving it? Or Vice Versa?

Please feel free to comment!

    1. Thanks! It's still a bit difficult working at Dollar General since this would be the first time I became a cashier, but hopefully things will get better for me. The Fault in Our Stars is definitely one book you should check out!

    1. Yeah, some popular books I'm a little skeptical about also, although some of them are pretty good!

  5. Congrats on your new job! I was also hesitant to read TFIOS because I don’t books with a lot of romance or relationship drama, but I ended up really liking it.

  6. Congratulations on your new job! (:

I haven't read TFIOS because I haven't exactly enjoyed any of the John Green books I've read... I'm tempted, but I'll just feel really bad if I end up hating a book about cancer. ):

  7. I was wary about TFiOS too Ronyell, I'm glad I pushed through it. I tried reading another John Green novel, but it left me completely disappointed, and to be honest, I don't think I will ever read anything by John Green again. He has some sort of agenda or something :/

I hope all goes well with the new job too! New beginnings aren't always the best :/
