Top Ten Tuesday #6: Top 10 Characters You Wish Would Get Their Own Book

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

Each week there’s a different Top Ten list. It’s a great way to find and connect with other awesome bloggers.

So today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is my top 10 characters that I wish would get their own books!

So in no particular order, here's my top 10 characters that I wish would get their own books!

1. Colossus from the "X-Men" comics.

I love Colossus and to me, it's a shame that he still hasn't gotten his own solo series at this point since he's a character that definitely deserves his own solo series!  Maybe this might get me back into reading the current X-Men comics.

2. Ron Weasley from the "Harry Potter" series.

Ron Weasley is easily one of the best characters from the "Harry Potter" series because of his comic relief attitude.  So, it makes me wonder, why not have him get his own series that explains more about his character and him going on his own adventures!

3. Hermione Granger from the "Harry Potter" series.

Another fantastic character from the "Harry Potter" series that I think really deserves her own series since her knowledge in magic would really set off a great series about her going on her own after the events of the last "Harry Potter" book!

4. Peeta Mellark from the "Hunger Games" series.

Peeta was one character that I really loved in the "Hunger Games" and it would be fantastic to see him get his own solo series about how he managed to survive in a world that force people into battle just for kicks.

5. Raven from the "Teen Titans" comics.

I actually was introduced to Raven's character through the "Teen Titans" cartoon, but it would be pretty interesting if the comics version of Raven got her own solo series about her home world.  Come on DC, make it happen!

6. Jadis the White Witch from the "Chronicles of Narnia" series.

I really enjoyed the menacing presence that the White Witch brings to the Narnia series, so it would be pretty interesting if she got her own series that details about how she started out and how she tries to take over Narnia for herself!

7. Rue from the "Hunger Games" series.

Even though her appearance was pretty short-lived in this series, I would have loved to have a prequel series of some sorts that focuses on Rue's character and how life was like for her in the "Hunger Games."

8. Jericho Barrons from the "Fever" series.

You know that there's something mysterious about Jericho Barrons and not only do I love his sexy appearance; but I would love to also know more about his dark past and how meeting up with MacKayla changed him.

9. Lettie Hempstock from "The Ocean at the End of the World."

Out of all of the characters from Neil Gaiman's classic book, "The Ocean at the End of the Lane," Lettie Hempstock is probably one of the most interesting characters in this book as she seems to know more about the bizarre world that the main character is thrown into.  I would definitely love to see more adventures from her in the bizarre world that she seems to know more about than the main character!

10. Silas from "The Graveyard Book."

Silas is a pretty mysterious character from Neil Gaiman's classic book "The Graveyard Book," so I would definitely love to know more about his character and how he came into the Graveyard in the first place.

Well, that's my list of my top 10 characters that I wish would get their own book! What characters do you wish would get their own books? Please comment below!

  1. So if you are curious as to how the White Witch came into power, you should totally read The Magicians Nephew (if you haven't already) it gives you a bit of the backstory as to how everything started in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe. And I completely agree with Hermione, she is awesome. Great list!

    1. Thanks! I really need to reread the Magician's Nephew again! It's been so long since I've read the Narnia books!
