EMERGENCY FUNDING FOR A NEW LAPTOP!

 

Hey everyone!  So, I really need some help.  I've been trying to get a new laptop for a while now and recently, my current laptop had crashed, and I had to get it fixed.  For years now, I've been struggling in trying to find employment and I'm still trying to find a job.  Because of this, I don't have enough funding to get a new laptop.  I wanted to get a new laptop because my current laptop can't support the bigger games that I want to stream, and I want to be able to download specific programs that would help improve my content on both YouTube and on my blogs.

So, I had created a new goal on my Ko-Fi account that would help me get a new laptop and I have planned some special rewards for anyone who helped supported my laptop goal.  So, every time we get new tips to the goal, I will make a mini comic for each tip!  The overall goal is $2,000, but if we reach $200, then I will draw a special Thank You Doodle for everyone who supported the goal!  And as the progression of the goal goes on, I will be doing something special for each milestone!  Details about the rewards for each milestone will be revealed through each mini comic I put out.  If you want to check out my mini comics and how the goal is progressing, then follow me on both BlueSky and Ko-Fi to check on the updates on the goal!

 Hey everyone!  So, I just recently got into doing art collages and I really enjoy doing them!  It's amazing how creative you can get with doing art collages!  So, because of this, I wanted to start making some collage type ads for Rabbit Ears Book Blog!  I know that I rarely promote this blog out in the open, but I'm going to try to do a better job at it and what way to get more traction to this blog than to make a little ad about it?  I've been working on this ad and I hope that this ad is eye-catching and would help get more people to come to Rabbit Ears Book Blog!  Expect to see this ad pop up on social media from time to time!

My 2023 Ko-Fi Resolutions!

 

Hey everyone!  It's been a while since I last posted anything on my book blog, huh?  Well, I've been really busy for the last few months with my YouTube and Twitch accounts, and I didn't have the time to post anything on my book blog.  But hopefully, I'll start to post more often on my book blog.

But anyway, this post is all about my Ko-Fi account and the changes that I will be making to it in 2023.  So lately, I've been getting a bit more involved with my Ko-Fi account and I'm trying to make an effort to make it much better.  So, here are some New Years Resolutions that I have for my Ko-Fi account!

1. Interact with my viewers more

So, ever since I first created my Ko-Fi account, I noticed that I haven't really communicated much with other users or with my viewers over the years.  Even though I started my Ko-Fi account with a mission to achieve my goals, I never really interacted with other people using the platform and that's something that I wanted to rectify in 2023.  So, starting at the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, I will start to make more of an effort to connect with more people and create a community for Ko-Fi.

2. Make more artwork for Ko-Fi

Another thing that I wanted to do more of in 2023 is to make more artwork for my Ko-Fi Shop.  I just recently started my Ko-Fi Shop and I have a few artworks in there.  But I wanted to make more artworks to share with other artists and I'm going to create more artworks in the near future.  I will also start sharing about how I did my artworks and I how I felt about each artwork so that way, everyone can see how much work I put into making the artworks.  

3.Try to reach my goal

So, I've been changing my goals around a bit this year and my new goal is to get a new laptop, gaming desktop and a TV.  I've been streaming on Twitch lately and even though I'm able to stream some games, I'm not able to stream some of the bigger games like "Dead by Daylight" and "Stray" because the laptop that I have now is not powerful enough to hold all of those big games.  I also want a gaming desktop for the same reason as I want to make my streams much better.  As for the TV, well let's just say that I accidentally broke my own TV.  So, I need a new one for my room.  I'm hoping that I can achieve these goals in 2023.

Well, those are my goals for my Ko-Fi account.  I hope that I can achieve these goals in 2023 and I hope that I can grow my Ko-Fi account more.

Hey everyone!  So, I don't normally do posts about me being an affiliate of any website because I tend to jump around various affiliates from time to time and it's hard to see which affiliate that I'm going to be with in the long haul.  But, I have decided to do a post about the most recent affiliate I just joined because I feel like I will be staying with this website in the long haul.  So, here we go!

So, before I get into what book site I have become an affiliate of, let's talk about what's going on in the real world right now.  So, you all know that we are in the middle of a pandemic and because of this, businesses are starting to suffer.  Some of the businesses that are being affected by the pandemic are bookstores, especially the small and independent bookstores.

Not only that, but many small and independent bookstores have to struggle with competing with giants like Amazon to make a living.  So, what's a good way to help out independent and small bookstores that are struggling in this current environment?  Simple! 

BECOME A BOOKSHOP AFFILIATE!

What is Bookshop, you ask?  Well, Bookshop is an online bookselling service that supports local bookshops, including indie bookstores.  So, if you pick a specific book store or independent bookstore that uses bookshops to deal with their online orders, than that specific bookstore will get all of the profits from your purchase.  However, if you don't pick a specific bookstore and order from the Bookshop website, then 10% of every sale will be processed into a pool where the earnings are divided up and given to independent bookstores.  So, no matter how you order a book from Bookshop, you will still be supporting an independent bookstore.  You can also get some discounts when you are purchasing books through Bookshop!

So, you are probably wondering about why I'm becoming an affiliate of Bookshop?

Well, the main reason is because I want to support indie bookstores.  As I mentioned before, there are many indie bookstores that are not getting any love, so becoming an affiliate of a site like Bookshop will definitely help me be able to support enough indie bookstores.  Another reason why I've become an affiliate is because of:

MONEY!

I had this book blog up since 2012 (so, over 10 years now) and I always wanted to keep this blog going for as long as I live. So, in becoming an affiliate, I would be able to earn enough money to be able to add on some new features for the blog, as well as be able to buy more books to review for this blog. And this is at no extra cost to you!  So, in many of my posts, you will see affiliate links to Bookshop and I will continue making disclaimers that I get a small percentage of the purchase you make.  However, I don't want to pressure you guys into buying every single product that I featured on this blog, because I understand that sometimes we just don't have the funds to buy everything (I know I don't) and I want you guys to purchase a product that you really like and purchase whenever you feel comfortable to do so.
