Book Review Requests

So, I have been thinking about this for years now and I have decided to open up a book review request service for the blog! Over the years, I have been getting emails from various authors to read and review their books and I have decided to start up a book reviewing service to help authors have their books gain more publicity. So, of course with this service, there are a few rules in regard to using this service.

I post my reviews on the following websites: Goodreads and Amazon. And of course, I post my reviews on my book blog. I tend to cross post my reviews on these sites, which means that if it seems like these reviews are the same on these other sites, then it's because I'm cross posting the reviews. The only one of these websites that I don't cross post my reviews on is Amazon since I tend to give out much shorter reviews on Amazon.

If you want to send me your books, please send me an ARC or E-ARC of your book to me. I cannot buy your books to review them. Either you can mail the books to me or you can send me an ARC of your book. If you want to mail me your book, then please email me and we will discuss what to do about this.

My reviews consist of my personal and honest opinions about the book that I've read. This means that not all books are going to get positive reviews. I will not change my opinions on a book, even if asked to. If you are not comfortable with me posting a negative review on your book, then I kindly request that you do not send me a review request. If you sent me a review request, then you accept the conditions that I will post up honest opinions about your book, even if the review is negative. My goal as a reader is to provide helpful feedback to help authors improve their writings for their books and I am not trying to be insulting when writing a negative review on your book.

As a reader, I have certain preferences for the types of genres that I read and there are some genres that I read and I don't read.

So, here's a list of genres that I do read:

Graphic Novels and Manga
Children's Books
Fantasy
Horror
Science Fiction
Romance (particularly contemporary, paranormal and historical)
Social Issues in a Fictional Setting (books like "The Hate U Give" and "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" are fair game)
LGBT
African American Fiction
Humor

And there are some genres that I will not read.

So, here's the list of genres that I don't read:

Non-Fiction
Biographies
Politics (so books like "Fire and Fury" and "A Higher Loyalty" are a big no-no)
Erotica (I love romance novels, but nothing too explicit)
Cook Books (Sure, I'll use them for making food, but I can't really give out a good review about them)

If you have a book that features a genre that I don't read and you emailed me the book, then I will likely turn down your request and explain to you that there are certain genres, like politics and erotica, that I don't read.

So, if you want to make book review requests, then here's the payment chart. If you have a book that's 10,000 words or less, then the cost is $10. If the book has 200,000 words or less, then the cost is $45 and so on and so forth. If you have a book that has a word count that's in between these amounts, like say you have a book that's 20,000 words or less, then we can discuss the payments through emails or other means of communicating with me.
I take payments in USD currency. I do not take payments in cryptocurrency.
You can send me payments for me to review your book through PayPal or Ko-Fi. The links to these sites will be listed down below.
Payments for a book review request is to be done upfront after the price has been discussed and agreed on.
I will not start reading and reviewing your books until the request is paid for.
It usually takes me about 10 days or more to read a book, depending on the size of the book. If you want me to review a book before a specific deadline, then please email me and we will discuss how to handle this.
If I give your book a negative review or you are not satisfied with my review and you would like a refund, then I can give you a refund. Please be civil when discussing your concerns about my reviews. My intention of giving out reviews on your books is to be honest about my opinions on your book, not to insult you personally.
