1.  The Creep: King of the serial killers by John T. Foster:  This is my pick of the week! I just loved the mysterious and frightening look of the face overlooking the city!

2. Slated (Slated #1) by Teri Terry : Such a lovely cover with a woman's face overlooking the city below her!

3. Jump Into the Sky Shelley Pearsall: Such a powerful looking cover of a girl looking with uncertainty on her face and you can see the plane hovering around her face which gives it a mysterious feel.

4. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald: This one is a pure classic and I just loved seeing the disembodied eyes overlooking a city!

5. The Vampire's Curse (Things in the Night #1) by Mandy Rosko  : This was my second pick of the week and I just loved how beautiful the couple looks kissing over the city.

This week's theme is: Footprints!

1.  Reign the Earth (The Elementae #1) by A.C. Gaughen : I admit that this week was really hard to pick out the best ones, since all the covers for this week were fantastic, but I eventually went with this cover!  I just loved the way that the cover sort of glows and the footprints in the sand really complement the beauty of this cover!

2. The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats: This was an old school classic and I had to add it to this list since it's so cute seeing a small child look back at the footprints they made in the snow!

3. The Mystery of the Flaming Footprints (Alfred Hitchcock and The Three Investigators #15) by M.V. Carey : I just loved the look of footprints that are actually on fire on the ground as it made this cover really creative to look at!

4. The Devil's Footprints by Amanda Stevens: The cover looks so ominous as you know there are footprints on the ground, but it's so obscured from view that it makes this cover look really creepy!

5. Footprints in the Sand (Wedding Cake Mystery #3) by Mary Jane Clark : It may not show any footprints per se, but I loved seeing the sandals being dug up in the sand and the reflection of the sandals in the water.

1.  UFO Flying Saucers Gold Key : This is my pick of the week!  I just loved seeing the jellyfish type of UFOs invading earth and it was really creative to look at!
2.  Nancy Drew: The Flying Saucer Mystery by Carolyn Keene: Such a cute cover with a UFO coming down towards Nancy and her friend!

3. Invasion by Paul Moxham : I just loved seeing that alien ship overhead that person on the ground. It makes the cover look both eerie and awesome!
4. Striker by Paul Moxham: Just seeing a spaceship go up in flames made this cover very intense!
5. Tears of Humanity by Gordon Neale : This cover just looks so fantastic with an alien spaceship coming down on earth!

This week's theme is: ELEPHANT(S) AND NEW YORK CITY!

1.  The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo :  This is my cover of the week as the image of the elephant floating in the air looks so magical and beautiful!
2.   Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen :   I just loved the image of a circus girl riding on an elephant. It looks so adorable! 
3.  Elephant Run by Roland Smith :   This cover looks so intense with the planes coming down towards a city and the shadow of an elephant covering the scene!
4. Have You Seen Elephant? by David Barrow :  This is such a cute cover of an elephant hiding behind a small tree while a little boy is looking for him!
5.  Hide the Elephant by Jonathan Dunne :  The image of an elephant tight roping was highly creative and awesome to look at!

  


1.  Roomies by Claire Adams :  Even though this was a tough pick this week, this ended up being my cover pick of the week as I always love covers with sexy men on it and the fact that this male is hovering over New York City really makes this cover awesome to look at!
2.  The Marvel Comics Guide to New York City by Peter Sanderson :  As a huge Marvel fan, seeing various superheros at different locations in New York City is a real treat to see! 
3.  The Wizard of New York City - Book 3 by Randall Girdner :   I just love how ominous this cover looks with New York City being in shadows while a lightning storm hovers over the city!  
4. The Creep by John T. Foster :  Another ominous cover with a large menacing eye overlooking New York City that send shivers through my spine!
5.  The Ward by Jordana Frankel :  This was the other cover that I wanted to choose for my cover of the week, except that I also loved the cover of "Roomies" and I had a hard time trying to choose which one of these covers should be the cover of the week, but I ultimately went with Roomies.  The fact that you see New York City being flooded was gorgeous to look at!

1.  Sisters by Raina Telgemeier:  This is my cover of the week as it's so hilarious and cute having two smiley faces having different personalities.
2.  Happyface by Stephen Emond:  I just love this edgy version of the classic smiley face!
3.  Suck It Up by Brian Meehl: This is such a cool cover with the smiley face sucking up blood!  It reminded me a bit of that sketch in "MAD TV" where the Wal-Mart smiley face was some kind of an assassin!
4. More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera: This has often showed up on a lot of blogger's picks and it definitely does look intense!
5.  Watchmen by Alan Moore: The classic blood stain on a smiley face always got me whenever I thought about "Watchmen!"

1.  The Death of Superman:  This is my pick of the week since not only has this image become iconic in the comic book world, but it's so beautifully drawn and haunting that I had to rate this number one for the week!

2. Capture the Flag by Kate Messner: This cover was really creative as it showed the flag as a maze and I thought that it was pretty unique and creative!

3. The Butter Battle Book by Dr. Seuss:  Such a simplistic yet inspiring cover that really conveyed the anti-war message in this book!

4. Superman: I know I cheated a little bit with this one, but this is another Superman cover that I really enjoyed and really defined Superman's character!

5. Sheila Rae the Brave by Kevin Henkes: Such a cute cover with a little mouse waving a flag proclaiming her bravery!

1.  Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling:  Of course, this is my number one pick of the week as everything looks so magical and yet dark as Harry is inside of Hogwarts and something strange seems to be coming after Harry!

2. The 100th Day of School from the Black Lagoon by Mike Thaler: I seriously love this cover as it has the whole school looking like it's about the eat the little boy, which gives this cover a sense of suspense!

3. The Berenstain Bears Go to School by Stan and Jan Berenstain:  This cover is just so adorable as we see brother and sister bear go off to school while waving to Papa and Mama bear!

4. Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Louis Sachar: I just loved the weird angle that the school has as it seems to lean to the sideways, showing so much wackiness for the book!

5. David Goes to School by David Shannon:  I kind of cheated with this one as it takes place inside a classroom, but I couldn't resist posting this one up since it's such a cute cover and all!

1.  Goosebumps: Egg Monsters from Mars by R.L. Stine: This is my pick of the week as it is a nice and creepy cover of an alien coming out of the egg and it really shocked yet intrigued me at the same time!

2. The Space Egg by Russ Winterbotham:  Looking at this cover, that egg is seriously messed up looking!  And that's why I really like that cover!

3. Egg & Spoon by Gregory Maguire:  The cover looks so colorful and creative and the fact that it's egg shaped made this really imaginative!

4. The Panorama Egg by A.E. Silas: Another creative egg shaped book that has many colorful images inside an egg that I really enjoyed!

5. The Egg by Andy Weir: Aside from the fact that it's written by Andy Weir, the cover of this book looks fantastic as it's so colorful and creative!

This week's theme is: BALCONIES!

1.  A Highlander's Destiny by Melissa Mayhue: My number one pick for the week!  I just loved the fairy dust like trail that came from the balcony as it gives it a magical vibe!  Expect me to pick this book up soon!

2. Man Hater by J.X. Williams: Seriously, what cover would have a naked woman knocking over a man over the balcony?  This was seriously one cover that I instantly fell in love it the moment I saw it!

3. Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare: Probably the most iconic book cover that dealt with a balcony as I've read this love story a million times over and I still enjoy it to this day!

4. The Gladiator by Carla Capshaw: That is one sexy cover with a gladiator on the balcony and that makes me want to check this book out!

5. The Man on the Balcony by Maj Sjowall: I just love this cover! It's so creepy and it makes me really want to check out this book!

This week's theme is: FEATHERS!

1.  The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Lesyle Walton: This is easily my most favorite book cover of the bunch!  Just the intricate way the feather is shown just makes me want to look at this cover forever!  It also looks like a pretty interesting book to read!

2. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling: I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and I've been looking forward to this book for ages!  I also love how creepy and gorgeous the cover looks!

3. Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley: I've heard a lot of good things about this book and I can't wait to try it out!  As for the cover, I just loved the way that the feather broke into small little birds!

4. Blood and Feathers by Lou Morgan: The cover just looks so awesome and I just loved the way the blood just mixes in with the feathers in the background!  This sounds like another book to check out!

5. Phoenix by Elizabeth Richards: I just love this cover!  The phoenix feather looks fantastic, especially when it is on fire and I definitely would love to pick up this book up, as soon as I read the first book!
