Book Blogger Hop #46: June 15th - June 21st

Hello everyone! I'm participating in another book meme called the Book Blogger Hop which is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer!  Basically, you just answer weekly questions and then post up your link on the question's page.

This week's question is :

This week's question is submitted by Maria @ Silver's Reviews.

You have just won a $100.00 Visa gift card. Will you spend the entire amount on a rare collector's edition you have always wanted, or buy several newly-published books? Explain your choice.

I would definitely use it on buying newly published books!  Getting a rare collectors edition is just one item and I would rather spend it on getting multiple books on my shelf than to get just one book.

  1. I think the consensus is to buy new books even though a rare edition would be amazing to have on display.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  2. I'm more likely to buy multiple books as well. Unless it was just something SO incredible I had to have it!

    1. Same here! If it's something I really wanted, then I might try to buy it. But, I would rather buy multiple books!

  3. Great answer! I definitely relate. I'd prefer to get a range of books rather than a different edition of one/a series that I already own.

Feel free to check out my own answer if you wish!

  4. Good reason. I went the opposite way myself.

  5. I definitely would buy newer books as well (although maybe not brand new because I'm a bargain shopper and try to buy books on sale whenever possible).

Have a great weekend. - Katie

  6. Ronyell, its amazing most people have chosen few books rather than one. I guess for me, it depends on what's on my wishlist eg if I wanted a book from The Folio Society I'd probably get that, but I also said few vs one.
